About LM Masiello, CKBD, CAPS
I began my career working in the sales sector of the kitchen and bath industry.
This experience fueled my desire for more knowledge and led me to pursue my designations as a
Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer (CKBD) with the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).
Ultimately, I returned to school where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.
My passion for design led me to start my own full-service, interior design firm and in 2002 I launched
LM Interior Design, LLC.
I am an Aging In Place Specialist (CAPS) - a designation earned through The National Association of Home Builders, which signifies that I am qualified to design my clients' homes, so that they can stay in them safely and securely, for the long term.
I have been a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association since 1997 and I am active in the North Jersey Chapter, where I have served on the Programming Board. In 2019, I was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from the NKBA, recognizing me as a Certified Member, for over 20 years.

Education
1999 Jack Lowery European Travel Scholarship winner
A private scholarship, awarded for my research on the buildings of Le Corbusier.
Funds facilitated travel to France for further study and documentation,
culminating in a formal presentation to the Interior Design Department of FIT.
